DeBary, FL DeBary, FL Part-time Part-time $15 an hour $15 an hour 22 hours ago 22 hours ago 22 hours ago Major Functions The County of Volusia is seeking a Recreation Aide - Docent/Tour Guide for the Parks, Recreation & Culture Division.
This is a Part-Time (Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 16 to 17.
5 hours per week) position located in DeBary, Florida, and will be responsible for conducting tours, for a variety of audiences and supervising field trip games/activities and other group activities for Parks & Recreation at DeBary Hall Historic site.
This position includes weekends and occasional evening work 3 or 4 times a year.
This position is only eligible for FRS benefit.
Illustrative Duties (NOTE:

The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position) Assists in conducting tours, recreational activities, special events and preparation of facilities.
Serves as the cashier by accepting various forms of payment (e.
g.
cash, check, credit, and debit).
Assists in enforcing rules and regulations.
Assists in collecting fees and taking registrations for tours, recreational programs and facility rentals.
Assists in light maintenance of facilities and recreational areas.
May supervise children involved in after-school, summer or other recreational programs.
Handle inquiries and complaints from public.
Performs other duties as assigned.
May be assigned to other office locations based on operational needs.
Attends work on a regular and consistent basis.
Must adhere to Federal, State, County and Local ordinances.
Minimum Requirements No experience or formal training required.
The preferred candidate, will have at least one (1) year of cashiering, customer service experience and/or public speaking.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must pass required background check.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
